Dear Jesus, in Whose life I see
All that I would, but fail to be,
Let Thy clear light forever shine,
To shame and guide this life of mine.
Though what I dream and what I do
In my weak days are always two,
Help me, oppressed by things undone,
O Thou Whose deeds and dreams were one!
प्रिय यीशु, जिसके जीवन में मैं देखता हूँ
वह सब जो मैं करना चाहता था, लेकिन होने में असफल रहा,
तेरा स्पष्ट प्रकाश सदा जगमगाए,
मेरे इस जीवन को लज्जित करना और मार्गदर्शन करना।
हालांकि मैं क्या सपने देखता हूं और क्या करता हूं
मेरे कमजोर दिनों में हमेशा दो होते हैं,
मेरी मदद करो, पूर्ववत चीजों से उत्पीड़ित,
हे तू जिसके कर्म और सपने एक थे!
