The Voice that shook the mountains and covered them with smoke,
From cloud and fiery pillar His great commandment spoke:
“I call the earth and heaven as witness here today—
Before you now are life and death;

“The Law of sweet, abundant life engraved by God on stone
Will lead you to the Living Word and make you all His own.
Obey and seek the blessing and shun the cursed way:

“If you will love the Lord your God and listen to His voice,
The generations after you forever will rejoice!
His beautiful commandment will give you length of days.

“I am the God of Jacob, yes Isaac’s God I Am,
By everlasting covenant, the God of Abraham.
Hold fast to My strong Promise: Your life is in My Praise!

“पत्थर पर भगवान द्वारा उत्कीर्ण मधुर, प्रचुर जीवन का नियम
आपको जीवित वचन की ओर ले जाएगा और आपको अपना बना लेगा।
आज्ञा मानें और आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करें और शापित मार्ग से दूर रहें:
आपके सामने अब जीवन और मृत्यु हैं;
अब जीने का तरीका चुन लो।
“यदि तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रेम रखोगे और उसकी बात सुनोगे,
तुम्हारे बाद की पीढ़ियाँ हमेशा आनन्दित रहेंगी!
उसकी सुन्दर आज्ञा तुझे आयु देगी।
आपके सामने अब जीवन और मृत्यु हैं;
अब जीने का तरीका चुन लो।
“मैं याकूब का परमेश्वर हूँ, हाँ इसहाक का परमेश्वर हूँ,
अनन्त वाचा के द्वारा, इब्राहीम के परमेश्वर।
मेरे दृढ़ वचन को थामे रहो: तुम्हारा जीवन मेरी स्तुति में है!
आपके सामने अब जीवन और मृत्यु हैं;
अब जीने का तरीका चुन लो।”
