Blest be the Lord; Blest be the Lord,
the God of mercy, the God who saves.
| shall not fear the dark of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day.
He will release me from the nets of all my foes.
He will protect me from their wicked hands.
Beneath the shadows of his wings | will rejoice
to find a dwelling place secure.
| need not shrink before the terrors of the night
nor stand alone before the light of day.
No harm shall come to me, no arrow strike me down,
no evil settle in my soul.
Although a thousand strong have fallen at my side,
I’ll not be shaken with the Lord at hand.
His faithful love is all the armor that | need
to wage my battle with the foe.
यहोवा की जय हो; धन्य हो प्रभु,
दया का परमेश्वर, बचानेवाला परमेश्वर।
| रात के अँधेरे से न डरेगा,
न वह तीर जो दिन में उड़ता है।
वह मुझे मेरे सब शत्रुओं के जाल से छुड़ाएगा।
वह मुझे उनके दुष्ट हाथों से बचाएगा।
उसके पंखों की छाया के नीचे | आनन्दित होगा
सुरक्षित निवास स्थान खोजने के लिए।
| रात के आतंक से पहले सिकुड़ने की जरूरत नहीं है
न ही दिन के उजाले के सामने अकेला खड़ा होना।
मुझ पर कोई विपत्ति न पड़ेगी, और न तीर मुझे मारेगा,
मेरी आत्मा में कोई बुराई नहीं बसती।
यद्यपि एक हजार बलवान मेरे पक्ष में गिरे हैं,
मैं हाथ में प्रभु के साथ नहीं हिलूंगा।
उनका वफादार प्यार ही वह कवच है | जरुरत
दुश्मन के साथ मेरी लड़ाई छेड़ने के लिए।
