Blest day of God, most calm, most bright,
The first, the best of days;
The laborer’s rest, the saint’s delight,
The day of prayer and praise.
My Savior’s face made thee to shine;
His rising thee did raise;
And made thee heavenly and divine
Beyond all other days.
The first-fruits oft a blessing prove
To all the sheaves behind;
And they the day of Christ who love,
A happy week shall find.
This day I must with God appear;
For, Lord, the day is Thine;
Help me to spend it in Thy fear,
And thus to make it mine.
भगवान का आशीर्वाद दिन, सबसे शांत, सबसे उज्ज्वल,
पहला, सबसे अच्छा दिन;
मजदूर का विश्राम, संत की प्रसन्नता,
प्रार्थना और स्तुति का दिन।
मेरे उद्धारकर्ता के मुख ने तुझे चमकाया;
उसका उठना तू ने उठाया;
और तुझे स्वर्गीय और दिव्य बना दिया
अन्य सभी दिनों से परे।
प्रथम-फल का वरदान सिद्ध होता है
पीछे सब पूलों को;
और वे मसीह के दिन जो प्रेम करते हैं,
सुखद सप्ताह मिलेगा।
इस दिन मुझे भगवान के साथ प्रकट होना चाहिए;
क्योंकि हे यहोवा, दिन तेरा है;
इसे तेरे भय में खर्च करने में मेरी सहायता करें,
और इस प्रकार इसे मेरा बनाने के लिए।
